ERIS 2026 will take place in Noto, a historic city in Sicily, southern Italy, located a few kilometers from the Ionian Sea coast. Rebuilt in the early 18th century after a major earthquake, Noto is well known for its Baroque architecture and harmonious urban design. The historic center forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto.” Many of the city’s buildings are constructed from local golden limestone, which gives the historic center its distinctive appearance.

The main international gateway is Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), located about 90 km to the north near Catania. The airport offers frequent direct connections to several European cities, including Amsterdam, Munich, and Rome. From the airport, Noto can be reached in approximately 1.5 hours by regional bus services such as Interbus or Etna Trasporti.

Further information on the conference venue, accommodation options, and local transportation will be announced soon.
